Miami

After a week of freezing cold weather in New York, we were both eagerly awaiting the glorious sunshine and tropical heat of Miami. We were greeted by my awesome Great Aunt Robbie, who welcomed us into her beautiful home and gave us a fantastic tour of the Miami area. We weren't really sure what to expect as both Jacob and I had never been to Miami before. The first things that came to mind were busy beaches and sky scrapers on the sea. We were surprised with the amount of natural beauty it had to offer! 

We roamed through the everglades, dodging alligators and prehistoric looking tortoises. Took a long bike ride down shady roads, through mangroves and all the way to a lagoon. And dove into the tropical crystal clear water at the famous South Beach.
We wished we were able to spend more time here, but Mexico City was calling our names...
